RURAL CONNECT AG PARTNERS WITH AUSSIE HAY RUNNERS

About Us
Rural Connect Ag (RCA) has partnered with Aussie Hay Runners to support primary producers in the Mid North Coast and Northern Rivers regions affected by Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
RCA will be managing all primary producer registrations on behalf of Aussie Hay Runners for the declared impacted regions:
Kempsey, Clarence Valley, Richmond Valley, Kyogle and Lismore.

RCA plays a vital role in assisting primary producers during natural disasters such as floods, droughts, and bushfires, strengthening their ability to recover and build resilience.

Empowering Primary Producers
Our Rural Connect Officers engage directly with primary producers, coordinate community-driven initiatives, and foster collaborations with key stakeholders, including government and non-government agencies. Through strategic partnerships and capacity-building programs, RCA enhances disaster preparedness and recovery efforts. As a trusted connector, RCA listens to understand the unique challenges faced by primary producers, activating essential resources, facilitating recovery support services, and establishing referral pathways to ensure timely access to the right assistance.

Building Stronger Rural Networks
The Rural Connect team is focused on establishing and strengthening industry connections, facilitating knowledge sharing, and enhancing collaboration among primary producers and rural landholders, industry experts, and support organisations. As a newly launched initiative, RCA is committed to building a strong foundation that will drive long-term sustainability and resilience in rural communities.

AUSSIE HAY RUNNERS
Aussie Hay Runners (AHR) is a community-led team of volunteers dedicated to supporting Australian farmers impacted by natural disasters like drought, floods, and bushfires.
Our mission is to assist primary producers and rural landholders by providing essential fodder and supplies, fostering resilience, and strengthening rural communities across Australia.

Since our inception, we have delivered thousands of bales of hay, supported countless farming families, and built a nationwide community committed to helping rural Australia recover and prosper.
We take pride in what we do—it's not a handout, it's a hand up.
IT'S NOT A HAND OUT, IT'S A HAND UP
AUSSIE HAY RUNNERS TO DISTRIBUTE DONATED FODDER TO IMPACTED PRIMARY PRODUCERS
More than 250 truckloads of donated fodder will soon be delivered to rural communities severely impacted by
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, offering much-needed relief to primary producers struggling to feed their livestock.

Commencing in April, fodder generously donated by Aussie Hay Runners, an official project of Heyfield Lions Club in Victoria, will be transported to affected areas, including Clarence Valley, Kempsey, Richmond Valley, Kyogle and Lismore LGAs.

The quality fodder, sourced from various locations across Victoria, will be distributed by Aussie Hay Runners, with storm- and flood-affected landholders encouraged to register their interest. Additionally, Aussie Hay Runners will be purchasing fodder and silage from local hay growers throughout the impacted regions to help reinvest in the local economy.

The NSW Government announcement of the Severe Weather Natural Disaster Declaration for the Donated Fodder Transport Subsidy, administered by the NSW Rural Assistance Authority (RAA) has been instrumental in facilitating this effort. The assistance to cover transportation costs has enabled us to accelerate vital fodder deliveries.
REGIONS & REGISTRATION
Aussie Hay Runners are proud to support primary producers and rural landholders impacted by the latest adverse weather event.

We know all too well, that farmers are genetically independent and sometimes find it hard asking for support. This is where we can help out by providing a "top up" of fodder and reassurance that we care in times of hardship and challenges.

We want to make sure your livestock are doing well, to help you do well.

Once we receive your registration form, the Rural Connect team will reach out to better understand your current circumstances and how we can offer assistance. RCA will provide details of your fodder allocation, location and date of fodder pick up once registrations are closed. Aussie Hay Runners will announce on their facebook page @aussiehayrunners any updates.
